powder chic
Look for finer grains when selecting powder makeup.

PRESSED POWDER

Most powder products are talc based and perform similarly. Look for finer, compactly packed grains that will stay on your face the longest.

Try these brands:
Bobbi Brown
Estee Lauder
M.A.C.
Prescriptives
T. LeClerc
Yves Saint Laurent

Powdering will tone down any previous makeup over-indulgence. Simply apply lightly all over the face with the manufacturer's puff, or an oversized brush. Little goes a long way.

BLUSH

Good blush is determined by how subtly the color goes on and stays on. The quality depends on the shade as well as texture. Rusty blends work better for darker skin and rose colors work better for lighter skin. Stay away from textures that go on too severely.

Try These Blends:
Clinique
Janet Sartin
Prescriptives
M.A.C.
L'Occitane.

While a large makeup brush is preferable, the brush that comes with a blush compact is usually adequate to add just a healthy glow to your cheeks.
