Your makeup application is as unique as your signature. But while your signature ages well over time, makeup colors need an overhaul every once a while, in order to avoid looking dated.

Both makeup colors and techniques are going through a major revolution, especially in eye makeup application for Asian eyes.

SKIN: Artificial is out, while natural looking artificially clear look is in. Whatever you do, avoid the trying-too-hard look. A daily skincare maintenance will keep the pimples at bay, and find the new extra lightweight foundation for help. Always blend well.

CHEEKS: Glow with pink blush. Just a bit of color is all that you need.

BROWS: Groomed yet lush look. Follow the natural brow shape.

EYES: Add a zing to your old matte browns. Try a youthful variety like deep peach, or gunmetal grey. Use the new colors alone or over the old browns for a subtler effect.

LIPS: Stained rose lips rule. Stay away from the artificially aggressive burgundy, and go for fresh, pouty lips. Lightly spread on last season's shimmer powder on top of your lip color to make it last.

HAIR

Hair is naturally layered. Let your pixie haircut grow out. Clean hair that bounces with each move exude a sense of freedom. A layered haircut works for a variety of Asian facial types.

NAILS

Subtly painted nails continue to reign this season. Shimmers are in. Colors are dreamier. If you don't want to commit to a full pot of nail polish, try Sephora's mini pot in just the right shade.
