Rising songstress Denise Julia is cementing her place at the forefront of the new wave of Filipino R&B, captivating audiences with her signature blend of airy vocals and silky, soulful production.

The 24-year-old is proving to be an artist to watch this year with the May release of her new song, “Changes,” which arrived hot on the heels of her April single, “2GOOD4U.”

These latest releases follow her second EP, Sweet Nothings (Chapter 2), which dropped in November 2024.  That project featured the standout collaboration “Twin Flames” with Vietnamese American singer Thủy, showcasing Julia’s ability to bridge international sounds.  It served as a direct follow-up to her debut mini-album, Sweet Nothings (Chapter 1), released in November 2023.  That landmark debut included “Butterflies” and the 2023 hit “B.A.D.” featuring Filipino American rapper P-Lo, which has amassed over 86 million Spotify streams – her most popular track to date.

Before her recent EP eras, it was her 2022 breakthrough single, “NVMD,” that first garnered her widespread recognition and remains her most-played song on YouTube.

Born and raised in Manila’s Tondo district, Julia has quickly grown from a viral internet sensation into a respected R&B artist who signed with EMPIRE Distribution in May.  Today, she commands a growing audience of over 3 million monthly listeners on Spotify.
